Someone (I think The_Hog) referred to a system called The Science, where 4 card majors are combined with 2/1 GF and 1NT forcing. The notes I found at the Cambridge Bridge Club site were very sketchy.
Can someone give me an outline or link of how this might work? 1NT forcing seems like it would be problematic where responder has 2 card support.

2/1 GF and 1NT Forcing With 4 Card Majors

Firstly:
Bal 14-16 is opened 1NT
with 10-13 HCP you open a 4M aheahd of a longer m
1M 1NT is semi forcing
Resp ONLY bids with an unbalanced hand or a max, so with a 10 count and 4H and 6C, you PASS the semi forcing 1NT response.
1M 2new suit is a GF with 1 exception. You need a way to handle 3 card support and 10-11, so:
1M 2C virtually forces 2D unless opener has real shape.
Now 2M is the 3 card raise and 3M or 2NT is the real 2/1 bid.
I have a whole system based on this together with transfer Walsh over 1C if you want a copy.
