Don't ever bid controls with a robot; they don't understand anything at all about how they work. (5♦ shows 26+ total points, despite that being impossible; combined with its 12 makes 38, plenty for grand). They'll press on with missing controls in the suit you skipped, sign off when slam is cold, misdescribe bids as denying controls when you couldn't have shown them, make bids that show a control without it, etc.
Likewise, don't ever splinter, open 2♣ on tricks and not HCP, or make an off-shape takeout double.

Good bidding by GIB to reach the hard to bid grand slam. If West had led the standard ♥J, the grand would have been cold.

How the heck does one get to 26 pts having opened 2N 20-21? or maybe its 20-22 the last number is blacked out but still its balanced so 4+ shape points is a lot.

Pretty simple logic for GIB:
- small slam requires 33 points combined
- grand slam requires 37 points combined
- 5♦ is forcing to at least small and invitational to grand, so must show at least 35 points combined
- partner has shown 5 points, so we need 30+ total points to bid this
- but this is too big a number which causes an overflow, so it outputs 26+ and has the rest bug out into another field meant to be used for relay points
