England UK.
What is the cheapest / best value card dealing machine set up? What would it cost us to buy that machine plus bar coded cards (?) and service agreement (is that necessary)?

Our club bought a Dealer 4 several years ago. I have no idea if it's the cheapest/best value. We paid $4,400 for it and have been completely satisfied. It doesn't require bar coded cards and will deal 52 cards in 6 seconds. http://www.dealer4.com/

I consider the Duplimate a step above other machines I have encountered and it doesn't cost that much more.

Jannersten was selling off the new Duplimates used (only) at the recent World Bridge Games for Euro 2650 each and the cards for Euro 0.80/deck.
The deadline for the offer was 3 November but you may still hit lucky.

I saw the UK price on Jannerston at £2300 but Duplimate UK quote £3250 - but then Jannerston and Duplimate appear to be the same people - how's that work

Jannersten is the manufacturer and Duplimate their main product.

Duplimate UK looks to be a Jannersten reseller and service provider, their site provides an email for info and quotes.

Not sure what your quote is for but this price list says £2380 for a Mark VI and £2970 for a Bridgesorter mark IV.
