Everytime I clear my browser cookies, my BBO custom settings are deleted. I would like the settings saved on the BBO servers to prevent it happening.

Why are you clearing your browser cookies? If you have a need to do so, you should have the expectation of losing settings like that.
This makes more sense as is, as the settings that are stored here are the ones that are definitely things I want to be device specific, not user specific.

Cookies are not the only or best way of enabling device specific settings, IMO.

For reference, BBO doesn't use cookies for these settings at all, just localStorage, which seems optimal to me. But most laypeople don't know the difference, so I was combining them for the OP

And for the purpose of this question, the distinction is irrelevant. And I don't think browsers provide a way to clear them separately, unless you use Developer Tools.
The point is that they're saved in the browser, not the server. I think the reason for this is that users may have different preferences depending on which device they're using, i.e. phone vs. tablet vs. desktop.
