The 2NT bid was explained as invitational, 17HCP.
This doesn't make sense because
- 2♠ was explained as 8+. With 17 we are not inviting, we are insisting on game
- 2♠ was actually forcing, at least meant as such since responder had some 15 points. So 2NT should be the weakest bid available.
