They're in a game-forcing auction, and are starting relays to work out slam (or which game, I guess).

I assume I'd know (or ask the basics) what their relays are going to show, and how high I have to bid to break the relays.

I assume I'd know (or can find out) what other GF or GF-possible calls South had available besides starting "relay time at the zoo".

I assume I'd know (or have asked for time to do some basic working out) our defence to the transfer openings, in particular what double and 1 meant. Because I know that partner doesn't have those hands.

Without all that information, it is impossible to determine what I would do.

But I'm guessing that 2 is relatively safe, relatively useful, relatively raiseable, and if it drops them out of relays, so much the better. If they double and get me for 500 into no slam - well, next time they might not guess right.

Seems like a straightforward 2 to me. There's little to lose at this vul. given that they are already in a GF, and a good day, pard can raise s. At any rate, as @mycroft noted, it knocks them out of relays, and they haven't named any suits yet.

normaly relay are broke if 3 level of biding were lost
so as auction went 1 pass 1
the next 3 step are 1 1 1 NT
2 AND ABOVE brak the relay
