Expert class bidding remains a bit of a mystery to me but the UK team reached 6.
Gavin Wolpert was on lead and went through his thought processes before deciding on the lead.

After discarding the idea of leading the unbid suit, what was the first idea that he had?
The hand comes from the New tricks episode on 14 Feb 2022 (The bidding starts at 8:49).

Great deal, Pilowsky! Thank you.
Tom Townsend and Andrew Robson deserve the Brilliancy prize for bidding and Gavin Wolpert nearly got the defence right.

You should lead a club. Not just because it is the unbid suit but because in the bidding S shows 5 !d and leading a club "might" setup a threat/tap of his trumps.

DD might lead to some other lead yet they will be wrong more often than right.
