I just watched a video where Zia - with 19HCP says (at 7:00 min. in) "Well, I know I should open a club, but I'm opening 2N." So with 24 instead of 25, I opened 3NT. My passed hand robot, clearly bruised with his encounter with Zia, figured that 7 was almost the same as 8 and bid 6NT. It turns out to be makeable on the lead, and when I step through it, I still can't work it out. The other person in the challenge went -2 in 7C, so I only lost 2 IMPs, but it's annoying not understanding where I went wrong. West leads the ♣J, which it turns out allows the contract to make.
The lead allows you to play on ♦ AK on trick 2 & 3 and then enter dummy with ♣ finesse, or force finesse so 4♦4♣1♥3♠ are tricks. percentage play not though. the drop of ♣8 from east makes this happen. now if west led 4th high with ♣3
