Navigation bar issue

When I log into bbo the navigation bar is missing, in particular I have no my bbo and options buttons showing so I cant update my profile

"My BBO" was in the old Flash client, it has never been in the HTML client.

You should see tabs down the right side of the window labeled Messages, People, History, Account. Your profile and settings are in the Account tab.
