We had a complete zero against the robots last night at a club event. EW were the robots and bid to a 74% slam and played it well after the KC lead, cashing the ace of diamonds crossing to the ace of hearts, taking pitches on the AK of spades, crossing to the king of hearts and ruffing the heart with the 9. Basically succeeding when diamonds are 2-2 or there is a stiff honour. Impressive stuff, realising the importance of the doubleton heart.

Odd indeed. The 2♦ part isn't even simulation based (5♦ on is); basic GIB defines 2NT as a max of 14 HCP and apparently thinks that's a worse rule to break.
