and maybe it could be that your partner is void in ♦'s!

If the doubler is sitting on ♦T9xxx, has guessed at my hand from the auction, and psyched a lightner double to get me to run out of the making 7♠ into a non-making 7NT, then ... he/she deserves the good score I'm giving him/her.

Yup - and you probably should have bid 7N instead of 7S anyway. Why lose to the ♠Jxxx or 5-0 spade split when partner may have ♥AKxxx or the ♣K?

Something smells rotten in Denmark (No offense, Roland.)
1) RHO overcalled 2C and never said another word.
2) After the 3S bid, partner was forced into what he had to say.
3) First, LHO bid only 3C, showing some values, and now that we've jammed ourselves into grand slam suddenly finds a void in his hand? I wonder why he didn't bid 4D the first time? Hmmm.
4) I'm guessing my partner is known as a "notorious overbidder" and prone to panic attacks.

5) He bid 5H, hoping you could recognize this as an "impossible" number and take it for natural.
Action? Pass and and hope that down 1 on a diamond lead is O.K.

actuallly in real life.....I belive the 5♥ bid was some form or ropi dope depo etc, but no they werent off any aces but the dude doubling did have the diamonds and partner was void
