Tortellini, even old, surely that brings me up!

As a footnote here I should say that "Cappelletti" in Italy, is a kind of pasta filled with ricotta cheese and ham, quite similar to Ravioli (except that ravioli are not supposed to have meat in the filling).
If you mention "Cappelletti" to any italian, you may see him/her drooling perhaps, but certainly not thinking of bridge :(

"Tortellini" is a very similar kind of pasta.

There once was a slothy with cheek
Some argued that he was unique
His posts were amusing
And often abusing
A shame 'bout his aging physique

There once was a charmin' kjun
Who played some kind of precision
He kibbed by night, rather than play
Invisible as Lukewarm during the day
Biting into his Po-Boy was a big decision

(po-boy: native New Orleanian sandwich, such as a hero, sub, hoagie or grinder)

There once was a moderator, inquiry
Whose job became quite weary
When Adam and others bitch
Inquiry pondered to ditch
Since efforts to rewards were dreary

There is a system called SAYC
That many consider quite crappy
With no forcing minor raise
Its proponents must pray
That the opponents are taking a nappy

There was a poster called Cherdano,
Who captained the SS Belgrano,
In the midst of the battle,
He injured his tackle,
And now he just sings soprano.

Who started this lovely excursion
Into limericks and other diversions?
Not that I mind,
Seems perfectly fine,
Humorously casting apersions.

So, if someone should call you an ape,
Oh, don't you get bent out of shape.
It's all in good fun,
Like a really bad pun.
Besides, your knuckles are beginning to scrape.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy - but it might improve my bridge.

I know a bridge player named rain,
Who always chooses the wrong strain,
Her staymans are sound,
Her blackwoods profound,
On clarksville, she's the last to detrain.

Winkle was a fine bridge player,
Friends called him dragonslayer
He took this to heart
Tried the beast to outsmart
His remains are now over Korea
"More and more these days I find myself pondering how to reconcile my net income with my gross habits."

There once was a young player named Justin

Whose bidding no one was trustin'

3rd chair green

Became rather obscene!

Until the Director started ad-justin'

I put Hement under the gun
If he erred we would have won
But he found the right play
squeezing me anyway
Hope it's not like Father, like Son!

I also know a tim toucan,
And hear he's some kinda Marxian
He'd take the blame fairly
Rebukes partners rarely
In short, he's the height of perversion

There's a Uday dude who forever,
Would cleverly endeavour,
To all who seek, minister,
And all who beg, administer
Whomever, whenever, wherever
"More and more these days I find myself pondering how to reconcile my net income with my gross habits."

It'a apparent that you are no legend
When a limerick about you goes a beggin'
I looked many times
But not one single rhyme
About Winstonm, and what a nice fellow!
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

A player named Fred Gitelman
struggled mightily against Zia's big guns;
and when it was through,
for the red, white, and blue,
It was Fred who had finally won!
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
