Problem with slow, hesitating play only on BB

I started a casual table with 3 friends and both my bidding and my play
seemed to be very slow, and the play of the cards was uneven. I would play a
card, it would hesitate and then the other 3 hands played so quickly it was
hard to see what was played. This has happened a few times in the last few
days. I restarted my computer but that made no difference. I also cleared the cache. Any other
suggestions? Should I uninstall and re-install BB? This does not happen with emabridge or any other website.
Thank you,
Caryl Glickman

Hi, welcome to the Forum.
I'm not sure about other people, but I have definitely seen this type of behaviour from time to time.
I'm unable to correlate it with a particular time of day, or which server I'm playing on, but it has happened during casual play, and during robot tournaments so it isn't just a problem with the casual server.
I doubt that the problem is at your end.
It will probably all go away with the heat...
Or when they inject bleach into the ROM.

Possibly one of the people that actually work for BBO will have a real answer to your problem. Posted Image

Hi and thank you for responding. I did report it to BBO and after a few days received the following reply, but since it is only this bbo website, I thought this sounded too much...

to me
Good evening

The following may help you troubleshoot your lagging issues or, at least, rule
out some possible causes: 1. Disable software acceleration: Click on the menu
of your web browser > Settings > Advanced settings > System and turn off
hardware acceleration (on lap/desktop) 2. Wi-Fi issues: With the huge
proliferation of WiFi devices such as ADSL routers, laptops and smartphones,
there are places where the spectrum starts to be really saturated, which
seriously affects the performance of wireless connections. If you have a
wireless internet connection, place routers where they can broadcast an
uninterrupted signal. Avoid placing the router on top of other electronic
devices that can interfere with the router's signal (never near the modem).
Most probably the speed of your connection is nowhere near the speed you are
paying for and you should contact your internet supplier for assistance. You
can run a connection speed test at www.meter.net and wait until you get the
results. You can share this information with your internet provider Also try
connecting your computer to the LAN line to discard a wireless connection
problem 3. Some networks are inherently more latent (laggy) than others. Some
use several proxy servers to make sure their network are not hacked, but it
also makes their network very slow and unsuitable for action gaming. Same thing
happens when you have one or more security softwares installed on your
computer/router. They will add milliseconds to your ping time. If you have more
than one firewall installed in your computer/router, disable all but one to
test if the security software is generating high latency and disconnection.
Also try reducing the security level in your web browser to “medium” 4. Add a
disk cleanup 5. Run any pending system and/or browser updates 6. Since online
gaming requires a lot of quick back and forth, but not necessarily a lot of
data, it’s best to have low-latency connections in order to keep the responses
between the game server and your computer snappy. Playing online generates an
enormous amount of temporary files that interfere with your connection, so the
first thing you need to do is to "refresh" your browser. Please try clearing
the cache of your web browser and restarting your computer on a regular basis
7. Close all other applications and pause downloads while you play online 8.
Try switching to a different web browser to play online Please send me your
feedback Regards Corinne Little

That's very impressive.
I use 'Ookla' to test the quality of my service and it's always been fine.
Perhaps the others have some thoughts.

By the way, I did try bleach since our President likes the idea but as I approached the computer it said "Fake News! I appear to have more AI than you have."

Well, the problem is, you probably planned to apply it topically instead of injecting it with a VERY LARGE needle and some sunlight. That would have saved billions and billions and billions...

You are so right! Can I come and live in your country where people are sensible? I loved it when we visited.

You are most welcome! But then who will do the voting over there?
