Starting the game

Our game today did not start on time because one member of a pair was offline. After a few minutes the Director unregistered the pair and the game began. If the TD had started the game by deleting the +allavail+ command, would the game have started with the online/offline pair seated? If so, the TD could have seated a robot until the offline partner could get online.

No, just the same effect as deregistering the pair. They are never part of the tournament whichever way the Director gets it started.
