I'm trying to set up a game with two family members who are in the same house as me.

We are all logged in and initially I can see them in the People tab as being online. When I reserve a place at a table for them on my iPad app a message pops up saying they are not online and if I now look in the People tab it shows them as off line even though their machines are still showing them on line.

I have tried closing and restarting my app and I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app but to no avail.

Any thoughts on what might be going wrong?

Thx

I've been having this problem too when setting up a team match. 6 of us can see we're online together; the other 2 can just see each other as being online. When I try to create the match, BBO claims the other 2 are offline. Only after repeated logging off and on again do they appear on my list of friends. If anyone can explain what's going on and how to solve it I'd be very grateful!

This is a facet of the new BBO split-server architecture.

When you all log onto BBO, you are on the main BBO platform, as are your family members.

When you click Casual to create the table and invite them, you move to the Casual part of BBO which, currently, is distinct from the main BBO platform and you cannot see each other. Your family members need to click the Casual button on the main screen to join the Casual part, then you can see them and invite them.

More explanation and video at https://www.bridgeba...ual-explained/.

It is confusing when you first see it.

Could you perhaps also explain how to join a "Casual" table using the older version of the software? This trick only seems to work on the html5 version.

It is explained on my link to Casual explained. In grim detail.

Basically there is now a price for not upgrading.
