IOS crashing

Is there any reason why my iMac running the latest software is repeatedly crashing when playing BBO?
The operating system is 10.15.7
It only happens when playing BBO

It's crashing the entire machine, or just killing the browser?

If it's crashing the machine, that's an OS bug -- an application running in the browser should not be able to do that.

In any case, try using a different browser.
