My state of Oklahoma elected last year a businessman and former mortgage company CEO Kevin Stitt to be governor. In order to help offset falling revenues, the state has cut schools and staff and started a war with the Oklahoma Indian tribes over casino payments to the state; meanwhile, the tribes have continued to pay the same rate as the last 15 years, meaning that during litigation the state - already short of cash - is unsure if they can spend those funds that have accumulated.

Threatening to sue and and taking people to court may be a successful business strategy for a mortgage company, but when matched against an adversary that won't be bullied that tactic loses its appeal, and then governing is required.

Instead of a governor, we elected a so-called businessman. Governments are not businesses.

PS: The governor in the past 20 hours has announced that during the pandemic crisis he will still be taking his family out to eat. I'm sure Twila is happy to hear that. <_<
