We were practicing strong hands vs weak hands. I thought this was cool because the weak hand became captain. I realize we would have had interference. I'm sure others would get to 7C.

1C-strong
1D-weak or strong
1H-relay
1S-relay
2C-extras
2D-relay
2S-5+D/4C
2N-asking
3N-3064
4C-asking
5C-17 QPs
5D-asking
5N-odd diamond and club top honors, even spade top honors

This one is pretty simple by normal methods, effectively as soon as the S hand shows 4+ clubs you're likely to get there, it will never be terrible barring a complete freak and can easily be more or less laydown.

nullve-nullve:

1 = "10+, NAT(ish) unBAL" OR "20-22 BAL"
1 = "0+, 4+ H"
3 = "GF (rule of 31 or better), usually 5+D4+C but never 2-H5D5C"
3 = relay
4 = 3064 (hence 21+ hcp)
4 = key card ask with clubs agreed
4 = even number of key cards
4N = trump Q ask
5N = trump Q + K + K + Q, no Q
7 = contract

That's very nice. You probably have used weak hand captaincy before we have. So, too, I suspect Adam and Sieong. What are your other forcing openings?

You really missed the point.

Cool, as the weak hand can determine the optimum contract best.

I tried bidding this with the strong hand captain and bidding became a guessing game since south is so weak. Back to the drawing board. :(

1 (15+) - 1 (4+ & 0-7 hcp) - 2 (Beta) - 2 (0-1 control) - 3 (Natural & forcing 1 round) - 4 - 6 (Would 4 be a CAB looking for 3rd round control?) - - -
Ultra Relay: see Daniel's web page: https://bridgewithda...19/07/Ultra.pdf
C3: Copious Canape Club is still my favorite system. (Ultra upgraded, PM for notes)

Santa Fe Precision published 8/19. TOP3 published 11/20. Magic experiment (Science Modernized) with Lenzo. 2020: Jan Eric Larsson's Cottontail . 2020. BFUN (Bridge For the UNbalanced) 2021: Weiss Simplified (Canape & Relay). 2022: Canary Modernized, 2023-4: KOK Canape.

If this is your auction to 4C, you might get there. I would infer a 5/5 or 4/6 hand for that bid and I think opener can count tricks at that point. The fifth club is very important and it's safer if it's 5 to the J.

We transfer captaincy so regularly in our auctions that it's not a big thing for us, although wouldn't on this one as we don't have the extra accuracy of the relays.

My other forcing and not-so-forcing openings:

1 = "10+, NAT(ish) unBAL" OR "11-13/17-19/26+ BAL". Forcing.
2 = "weak w/ either 6(+)M3-OM or 5M3-OM4+m" OR "unBAL GF w/ primarily hearts". Not strictly forcing.
2 = "weak canapé preempt in spades" OR "unBAL GF w/ primarily spades". Not strictly forcing.

A few analogous auctions using these other openings:
