This worked out ok in matchpoint scoring, and slam is cold in nt or major, but it's not hard to imagine some club holdings that could prove to be disastrous. NS is known to have a minimum of 17 cards in majors. This is just plain weird, but nothing Gib does surprises me.

Solid bidding by North to run the simulations and scrape up a game bid over the jump shift. A truly terrible bid would be if North passed 3♥ so GIB passed that test.
