So you pick up xxxx - xx - Q - Jxxxxx.
Pass from 1st seat to your right.
Only YOUR side vulnerable, you're happy to pass and the auction goes:
(p) - p - (1NT, 15-17) - p
(p).
You play DONT, so your partner has denied a 6 card suit, a 5-4 2-suiter, a 3-suiter... he's basically max 5332.
You can pass again or X to show a long suit, partner will bid 2 which you can pass.
What is your choice?

For those who play Cappelletti, what is your action if your partner X 1NT?

Other systems?

#1 Given the colors I pass.
If you can gurantee, that partner will always bid 2C over a DONT X, go ahead, but
the bid should show some live, partner will most likely have a strong NT, and he
may convert the X
#2 If partner makes X Capp X, I will bid 2C, ..., but my experience with penalty X against
strong NT is basically nil, ... pass may be best
With kind regards

No he can't. Partner PASSED when he had the opportunity to open.

My take is, that I am in 2nd seat, opener is in 3rd seat and partner is in 4th seat,
and given we play DONT, had no bid over 1NT.
It would not be the first time, that I got it wrong, but I checked, while writing
this, but still, I may have misread it.
With kind regards

I'm passing. While the hand has distribution, there's just not enough quality there to step in at this point.

Pass seems clear, even if partner is marked with a little something (@TylerE: P_Marlowe is correct, partner is not a passed hand but was in 4th seat). The vulnerability argues even more in favour of Pass.
