Hi,
I will give it a try, lets see where I end up, it may be possible that it is an auction the
orginal poster may be possible to dublicate
1D - 1H (1)
1NT (2) - 2C (3)
2NT (4) - 3D (5)
3H (6) - 4C (7)
4NT (8) - 5S (8)
5NT (9) - 6C (9)
6H ... (10) - 7D
(1) I dont see, why I should supress the 4 card heart suit
(2) 15-19, 4 spades possible, the alternative would be 2NT showing 15/16+ and 6+ diamonds
given the suit quality, selling the hand as bal. 15-19 is something I may consider at the
table
(3) relais, starting from +7HCP
(4) 16/17, no 3 hearts, no 4 spades
(5) diamond fit, SI
(6) cue, a top honor (A or K) ... need to cross check with partner, lets say it is
(7) cue, denies spade control
(8) RKCB, 2KC+Q
(9) specific King Ask, club king
(10) asking for hear king, if partner does not have it, you can check out in 6NT
but I have to admit, after 6C, i.e. the last round of bidding, I am in unchartered territority.
With kind regards
Marlowe
PS: I have just seen the remark, that mentions spiral scans, we dont, we only play specific king ask.
We actually don't "suppress" the heart suit, our structure for inverted minors can deal with 4Ms, it's just that once opener denies one, there's no point in mentioning it. Our response to 2
♣ would be 3
♦ and now responder would only be showing 3 due to not having had the inverted raise.
I see no mention of the essential
♣Q in your auction (it's essential because the grand is close to ZP opposite the 2443 version of the actual hand without it, and you have no way of knowing which is held).
