You are GIB and you hold something like (sorry, I can't find the hand anymore)
♠Qxx
♥xx
♦Axxx
♣Kxxx
You are dealer and you pass
pass-(pass)-1♠-(pass)
2♣-(pass)-pass!-2♥
3♣???
OK, this isn't technically a fielded psyche, I know. But I still found it interesting that GIB would make this bid.

P-1♠; 2♣-P = "No suitable call -- 6+ ♠; 11+ HCP; strong rebiddable ♣; biddable ♠; 12-13 total points"

I don't play Drury but I remember reading that 2♣ - 3♣ showed a real club suit, which is probably what GIB is thinking. I've no idea what pass by the opener might mean
[EDIT] just seen explanation by nullve, thanks. In that case 3♣ looks a little timid.

Is the issue here that GUBBO passed a drury 2c?
Also, whenever one passes p-p-1x-p-1y-p-p-1/2y the 1y assumes 4 card support and takes another bid. Seen it many times.

No, sorry if this wasn't clear. GIB's human partner passed the 2♣ bid (having four small spades and six clubs, so it wasn't really a psyche but that's not the point)

Assuming that the explanation of pass cited by nullve is how GIB agrees to play, then I think the issue is that GIB bid only 3♣ knowing that he has a promising double fit in ♠ and ♣.
