Note 4S makes more or less. Am getting this feelings GUBBO's such doubles indicate a stiff i.e. ruffing value. Thus d ACE lead works.
Unlikely I find it at the table. Maybe I should? Is the only way it goes down or perhaps cl lead.

Only the shadow knows what evil lurks in the addled bidding innards of GUBBO.

You have to defend pretty badly to let 4S make.

4 is down on any lead (except a small diamond). GIB's double seems pretty clear with an opening hand vs a limit raise.

sorry all. indeed has no chance of making 4s.
with 4H and GUBBO's history of doubling can I leave it in?
Seems hair-trigger-ish.

You're aware that if GIB had passed, you'd be forced to choose between double and 5, right (pass not an option)? Seems like you'd have an easy double yourself in any case, so no reason to take out GIB's.

Leaving GUBBO aside for a moment, smerriman, what would a human do with 6 hearts, stiff DK etc. Doubt if a human would double?

Watched Bermuda Bowl Qualifier finals on VuGraph. This hand auction quite similar to the competitive bidding they had on many many hands.
Wonder what they would have done with this case?
