Sure 7c is nuts, but why are you tempting fate by passing 5d-x in what surely is a not well defined, common auction? You always want to be in 6c, so why don't you just bid it instead of relinquishing captaincy? What's the point of telling partner you have 2nd round control of diamonds? It's not like you are grand hunting, and at this point you are committed to slam already.

From the diagram, it doesn't look like pass over the double has any definition. By passing you tempted fate. Maybe this is even an improvement, I wouldn't be surprised if in years not-far-past GIB passed out 5DX.
