I don't know where I heard this, but in, say, a 3 card ending with one opponent known to hold KJ9 of trumps and we have AQx, obviously all we have to do is exit small. However, if you cash the ace first, I've heard this called a Miami endplay. I think I read this in a bridge book, but don't remember where.

Also, is there a term for when you think you "endplay" your opponent, and then.... he cashes all of the remaining tricks instead? My friend calls it a Strauss endplay but he says he's also never heard anyone else say it.
