I haven't tried it recently but I believe that BBO sotware can also cope with pbn files (and convert them to lin).

After writing in Notepad click save as and give file name. At the
same time change file type from text to all files. Type name and Dot
and extension .lin e.g. Test.lin this will be saved as lin file.
you do not have to use Richard's Convertor.
I do write lin files and make
hands movie to learn myself.

If you have installed old BBO windows client, PBN can be opened with NetBridgeVu.exe which automatically saves it as LIN.

Other option is open PBN file with aaBridge ( free to download from rogerpf.com/bridge/ ) and save it as a LIN.
