What happens if I sign up for two tournaments and the second one starts before the first has finished?
Do I get removed from the first one or from the second one, and does it damage my TCR?
I've never managed it yet but have come very close indeed (a question of seconds).

Your registration gets cancelled for the second one, if you''re not available to play it at start. It doesn't hurt your TCR since you're not playing it at all, and you aren't charged for it if it's a pay tournament.

And the same thing happens if you'r not logged in when a tournament starts.
