When reviewing BBO hand-records in the handviewer,
I often use the DD-analyzer (Play/Gib buttons) to examine the play, or alternative plays.

Sometimes, also, you would like to move a few cards around, or perhaps change the contract, or change the declarer, etc,
then replay the deal....

Just wondering if there is a good GUI-tool/website for this?

I'm looking for a simple tool where you can just copy a full handviewer-URL, paste it into the tool and it will display the deal.
Then you can do those changes you want, and when done the tool can generate a new handviewer link to replay it.
Or if there is some better solution....

Do you know of any such?

Try aabridge, freeware in constant upgrade.
http://rogerpf.com/bridge/aaBridge
You can drop URL link of a hand there, enter the deal, change whatever you want and save hand as LIN file, which later u can upload to bbo (wont't produce new url, or i wouldnt know of that feature).
BBO nick of its creator is RogerPfi, if you have questions / suggestions.

For your own recent hands and tournaments, you can do this straight in BBO.

My BBO > Hands and Results, retrieve the hand you want to play around with
Export to Hand Editor

For other people's hands, I guess you can download the lin file from myhands and then upload to BBO where you can edit it in Hand Editor.

Aahh... thanks Diana!
I found it now -- I had certainly missed that feature :)

I figured out how to move the cards around, which is most important.

But I cannot change the contract/declarer/bidding in the editor.... just checking, is that correct?

Yes you can, click the Back Back arrow to "undo" the bidding. Once you're back at the sheer 4 hands deal you can click the hand you want to make declarer, and click the rectangle where vul is shown to change vulnerability.

By the way you can export the hand directly from the My Results column while kibitzing or during play, or anywhere the Results panel is available, you don't have to wait till the hands are saved in My BBO if it so happens you're kibbing somewhere and want to see what would happen if two cards were switched or some such.

I don't find the option to Rotate deal ( see above diagram) any longer in the latest html5 version. Was this feature removed in one of the upgrades? Any workaround to rotate the deal? Analyze suit option is also missing
Bridge Players do it with Finesse

It's a missing feature. Not intentional. Techs aware, but not sure when/if they will have time to put it back.
