robots sigh if human partner I would suspect they had 3244 hand with 3 decent spades and near minimum robots who knows

No, I haven't. Obviously there were some 50 points in the game and one of the problems was that your partner trusted you more than the opponents

I don't understand how that 3♦ bid can show 15+ points but that being as it is, your partner with 10 total points apparently was desperately trying to find that full game it thought you must have had. Ironically there was no need to run anywhere for that purpose because 3♦X= would have been a full game, but I guess GIB did not understand this. (For a robot, forcing to 3NT is forcing to 3NT, after all. 
)
