Assuming that I am correctly understanding this event to be an "indy" format with 3 robots at all tables... I would like to enter. (At least one previous Post suggests otherwise.)

I have no problem with any of the conditions of contest.

I'd like to play and accept the ToC's. I assume rule 6 is meant to be 5-6 sets a week. - i.e. about 64 boards or so.

I suspect the big surget came from this thread showing up in the news feed.

Yes but how did it end up in BBO News? We really don't want it to be public, especially this one..

One thread is selected automatically each day. The criteria is pretty simple -- it has to have been started the previous day, not started by a player with any warnings, threads started by "Full Members" are preferred over "Members", and then it uses the number of replies and views to rank them. The heavy reply rate is probably what did it for that thread.

I recommended a couple of times earlier restricting to people with >= x forum posts - might be worth considering.

Closing the thread for one day before registration starts should avoid that.
