I think the chance of hearts 4-1 AND the spade finesse wrong, given there was no double of 3S, is lower than the chance that the opening lead was a singleton and RHO has the ace of clubs.
However, RHO's card at trick 1 is relevant - if RHO plays the 7, I need to understand more about oppo's signalling methods. Many would play suit preference opposite shortage, so if I am prepared to trust that, I am more inclined to finesse hearts, into LHO.
I am assuming they don't lead top from 4 low, but that is also worth confirming....

This does seem simple. If trumps are 3-2 then you need to guess right, if 4-1 you can only succeed if you finesse against LHO. Yes, you might go one more down if RHO wins and gives a ruff, but that is a minor point. There is also a minor inference that as LHO did not lead a trump then he might have the Q.

the play of the hand is the wrong question....
why are you in 5h?
Slam does not add up from the moment the opening bid is made.

I seem to be having some counting difficulties today. If trumps are 3-2 then there appear to be 11 tricks by banging down ♥AK and throwing a spade on a diamond. That the deal appears on BBF naturally makes the 4-1 break more likely but in real life it seems to be against the odds to play for that while allowing yourself to go down on a decent proportion of the 3-2 hands.

On my iPad I can only see the bidding up to 4NT. I assumed that the final contract was 6H, hence my comments. Even in 5H taking the finesse through W looks right. If it loses E cannot attach spades so you can still discard one on the diamonds.

Unfortunately ♥Q, ♣A and a ♦ ruff comes to 3, so the discard does you no good when the lead was a singleton.
