I recently bought a new pc and installed windows 10. Than i tried to install the old BBO program (very nice) and that was the worst I could do: for your info I need to have internet via Wi.Fi and the result is that after a few minutes of BBO playing the wi.fi connection closes completely and I have to reinstall every time the connection through all steps..
Now, tired, I start playing, without installing the program, on the bridgebase site but really the new BBO program is very weak compared with the old one. Someone has ideas how to manage it ?

I suggest that you learn how to use the web client. No, the interface is not identical to the old locally installed windows program. Software goes obsolete, users must adapt to newer alternatives, this is the way technology works.

As far as I can tell, the web client does everything that the old program did. You just need to browse the menus and practice for a while.

The one thing about this that concerns me is BBO vu-graph operating. I was thinking of updating all our laptops at the EBU since my experiences with Windows 10 have been good, but it would be a big headache if we couldn't run BBO vu-graph from them. Can anyone confirm this either way from experience?

I don't say it is far off, but is not entirely accurate.
There is a lot of stuff that you can do with the web client that is not available on the windows download platform.
But there are also a few things that you can do on the windows download platform that cannot be done on the web platform, such as logging chat locally (I think that this is always going to be the case due to security limitations in Flash, but not sure).
I think that there is still an option to play Rubber bridge if going in via windows download.
You can see when another person at the table has a bad internet connection, when logged in under the old method (the web platform only tells you if you have a good connection and that is very inaccurate as well).
There are undoubtedly other examples.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

I've had no problems running the Windows client on Windows 10 (over wireless), although I haven't actually tried running vugraph on them.

I don't work for BBO and any advice is based on my BBO experience over the decades

We had a user with a problem earlier this week. Running BBO as Administrator solved it. Detailed intructions:

Right-click on the BBO icon, select "Bridge Base Online" from that menu, and then select "Run as administrator" from the next menu.

Other than that, we don't know of any inherent compatibility issues with Windows 10. But it's still fairly new, maybe not many of our users have upgraded.

But Jacki says she had no problem running the old version on Windows 10. I suspect the difference may be whether you install BBO on a new machine with Windows 10, versus upgrading the OS on a machine that already has BBO installed on it.
