What do you think 1♣(2+)-X-P-3♦ means ? What are the upper/lower limits for this bid ?
I held xx, xx, AKxxxxx, xx as the 4th player
I bid 2♦ partner bid 3, doing any more ?

1d usually means 0-7 2d 8-10 and 3d 11-12 (the previous 3 generally denying a club stop) with most gf bids starting with 2c, The 1/2/3 d bids are for generally balanced hands. This hand has a huge amount of potential but the overall lack of power seems to take a 2c bid out of the picture but a nice 3c bid asking p to bid nt with a club stop should get the hand type across very nicely.

The problem is that with the 1♣ opener showing 2+, it's very likely not the club suit we need to stop.

whats vul/form of scoring
"definitely that's what I like to play when I'm playing standard - I want to be able to bid diamonds because bidding good suits is important in bridge" - Meckstroth's opinion on weak 2 diamond

- Pass = Not much more to say.
- 4♦ = Well you do have 2 more ♦s than you might have.
- 3N = You can run to 4♦ if doubled.
