Advanced bots (robodupe IMPs tourney). I don't mind the first double showing spades, but what is North thinking doubling 2NT here? It's not like I've shown anything in the bidding so far.

The desciption say it doesn't mean penalty as the description not that I really like- you are basically forced to bid clubs. You would only pass with spades support.

If the description is absurd, does that make it any less worthy of criticism that the bid happens to conform to the description?
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.
Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mstr-mnding) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.
"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"
"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

Quite true. The second double is redundant, doesn't show anything the first one didn't. I can't imagine there is any passed hand worth another double here.
