We need some help and advice as how to continue after 1MA - 1N (semi-forcing).
We play a Club-system where 1MA openings are 5+crd and 10-14hcp.

For the moment, we think something as described below - but we are open for suggestions.

1 - 1N
?
P: bal/semi-bal, min.
2: 3+crd.
2: 3+crd.
2: 4+
2: 6+, min
2N:Transfer to 3 (with 5+ or 6+ responder bids his suit). After 3:
  • 3: 6-4, max
  • 3: 6-4, max
  • 3: 6+4, max
3/3/3: 5-5, max
3: 6+, max

1 - 1N

2N: Transfer to 3 (responder bids 3 with 6+). After 3:

3/3: 5-5, max
3: 6+, max

Do you really want to play at the 3 level with 13-14 hcp and 6-4/5-5 with no guarantee of even a partial fit?

I would reserve 3-level for 6-5 max..

Then with 5-5 make a 2-level bid then if partner rebids 2 of your major, raises your 2nd suit or bids 2N then show that you have a side 5 and a max
Sarcasm is a state of mind

I think steve is right. Something like...

1S-1N...

P-bal min
2C-4+C (3C if very max)
2D-4D
2H-4H
2S-6S-should promise a point or 2 more than minimum
2N-6S/5m
.....2C-pass or correct
.....2D-asks minor
..........2H-clubs
..........2S-diamonds
3C-5S/6C
3D-5S/6D
3H-6S/5H
3S-7S max

If you are 5/5 max, you could agree that after a preference auction such as 1S-1N, 2C-2S, 2N shows this 5/5 max and this prevents you from insisting on
play in your suits at the 3-level. If you had a wider range (say 9-15) for your opening, you might not be able to promise a 5/5 with this 2N rebid (it being needed to serve various 5422 and 5431 maximums as well) but you still wouldn't rebid your lower 5-cd suit at the 3-level (you would rebid 2N). Instead
1S-1N, 2C-2S, 3C ought to show a non-maximum 5S/6C hand (assuming this hand type is possible in your method)

For 1H-1N

2C-4+C (3C if max bal)
.....2S-should be a light invitation of clubs or alternately a light invitation of clubs or with an independent diamond suit
..........2N-max 5H3C32
...............P-light invitation with 4C
...............3C-5C
...............3D-6D around 11-12 hcps (if allowed)
.....3C-a regular invitation with 4+ clubs
.....3D-6D and around 13-14 hcps
2D-4+D
.....similar to 2C
.....2S-forces 2N
..........2N-forced
...............3C-6C and around 11-12 hcps
...............3D-4D and around 11-12 hcps
2S-5S/6H arguably forcing for 1-rd
2N-6H/5m max
.....3C-p/c
.....3D-asks minor
3C-5H/6C max
3D-5H/6D max
3H-7H max

Some switch their 2N and 3m rebids such that 2N promises a 5M/6m max and 3m promises a 6M/5m max.

http://www.pigpen.org.uk/BBO/1h.php

We use Oliver's Forcing NT responses over 1H or 1S and like it a lot once you understand and get comfortable with all the asking bids...the 1NT response is unlimited in strength....Hopefully the above link works
