Just another in a long series of mind numbing calls by GIB.

Although, I have to say, given that GIB has removed many of my penalty doubles in the past, and this GIB is partnered by another GIB, perhaps it "was afraid" that partner would pull.

OP provided all the information that was necessary to discuss the situation. His statement is that the hand that includes KJ7 is sitting behind the spade bidder, and should double the 4 bid, since he should be confident that he can set this contract, and he doesn't think there's anywhere for the opponents to run. Showing the other hands, as you did, can only distract from the issue being raised.

It does confirm the official GIB explanations for bids. Not that they differ from expectation.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

Next version has an aid in this direction to double with sufficient values. ( after overcalls over preempts)
