South has solid and that's what north needs for slam. I don't think 5 asks for solid just good . And if trump isn't sold the 5-level may be unsafe. think is just a case where you cant diagnose the magic fit.

South knows a lot about partners hand. No honours in hearts, nothing in spades, at most AQ in diamonds and yet GF opposite a minimum opener.
This garantees club values. It looks as if South bid on autopilot and did not visualize Norths hand.
