Can you add, in a future version of the software, an option to specify the language(s) used in your chat window.

I don't understand the suggestion.
The chat window allows you to chat in any language. If the recipient of the chat knows the language chosen by the sender, it adds nothing to specify it. If he does not know the language then specifying it will not help him to understand it.

Maybe this is not easy even though BBO is getting better and better,but there are messy codes in chat window if you are typing some special characters.
