On the web version of BBO any of the players in the team match can send private chat to the team match host, and the team match host can send private chat to any of the players. Private chat is disallowed between partners otherwise.

But you can tell the host that the hand of the host partner and accordingly may give the host bid did.

Well they don't need BBO to talk about the hands if they want to do that. They can just skype or talk on yahoo or on facebook, why would they do it on BBO where chat is logged?

I think this is a humanized design of BBO.
As we know that the organization of team match is a hard and troublesome work,if you often hold TMs,you will understand it.

I run many team matches every day, and I find it jarring when I receive a private message. If a player needs to chat to the director, the call director button is available. I don't understand why people can chat privately to me while I am in a match.

If there are multiple directors, a player might need to speak with a particular one, because they're the one who answered the director call earlier.
