Normally this means a hole in the bidding database. If GIB can't find a rule to tell it what to bid, it just passes.

GIB needs a way to show minor suits in response to 2NT. 3 is mss and 4 is gerber. Presumably it should bid stayman followed by 4?

I would just gerber, more gerber (for kings) and 7D 7NT.

Wow, and I thought I had seen some strange GIB actions. It would be interesting to see what happened if this came up in a tournament, at least half the field would probably withdraw. Depends how many open 1S instead of 2NT I guess - I am also a 2NT bidder.

Was this using basic GIB? If so, would advanced GIB act differently?

I don't think there's a difference in the first round of the auction.

I don't like Gerber, would rather use to show a natural club suit or a transfer to diamonds,

However, this is the perfect hand for Gerber. You find out you have all the aces, maybe you ask for Kings. Pretty hard to stay out of 7 or 7N
