Gib assumes that you know how many keycards it has. I think it is good advice, when you are missing 0 or 3 keycards, to assume that you are missing 0. That will be the case most of the time. And if you ae missing 3, the five-level may be too high already.

Also this is something that will be addressed, according to georgi. GIB in the future will raise to 6 holding the "or 3" hand.

hmmmm …. I think this may be throwing the baby out with the bath water. For example, if partner opens 2NT I know he doesn' t have zero keycards. I might need four keycards for a good slam.

You would have to be blacking wood with zero key cards for slam to be bad opposite 3. I suppose it can happen. Indeed I thnk that GIB has done it to me.
Sure, you are not making 5 when partner has zero and you have fewer than 3, but there is a fair chance of getting out undoubled at the 5 level when slam is quite likely to be doubled. If the auction is anywhere near replicated elsewhere in the room that is going to be expensive.
I always thought it was normal to expect responder to raise with 3, but there is a case for Helene's treatment.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

O.K. And what kind of hand should have if with 0 aces (such as Jxxxx etc.) ? I have said in another topic that prefer 3.
