If i was forced between pass and 2♣ on hand 1, i would definitely go with pass. 2♣ is the worst of all imho.

I'll join mike777 and rmnka447 in the pass/1H camp. The second hand is too good for 3H, not good enough for 4H (no shape), so it has to be 1H.

Me too.

1. Feels like a pass and balance (or not) hand with more defense than offense at this point.

2. I may regret letting them in but not as much as stealing partners bidding box.

1H, I can see all those winners, but these death wish hands have no reason to bid a game.
