You reach 3NT in the east on an auction that marks east with a strong 4-1-3-5 or 4-2-2-5 distribution and west with weak hand containing a heart suit.
South leads the 3 (fourth best) and North plays the 4.
Become yourself.

Plaw low in dummy and take Q. Play the K -- it would be weak defense to take the A first round -- then play low to dummy. You can force an entry to dummy. I believe the goal should be 4 clubs, 4 red suit tricks and 1 spade.

If N has singleton A you are probably home free. If he returns a diamond finesse and take the A if the finesse loses, then force a club entry. If he returns a spade you should probably throw him back in in spades and rely on a minor suit finesse for a dummy entry.
There is a big difference between a good decision and a good result. Let's keep our posts about good decisions rather than "gotcha" results!

climb with dia J trick 1 and lead the club J followed by the club 9. Hoping lho started
with a hand similar to this KJx Axx Kxxxx xx which will allow us to make life quite
difficult for lho on the run of the clubs. What 7 cards does lho hold after the run of the
clubs???? KJ Ax Kxx seems the most flexible maybe KJx A Kxx or KJx Ax Kx. IMO
by counting the number of diamonds they have left you should get a great picture
on the remaining cards in their hand and play accordingly. The overall plan would be
lay down the heart K trick 7 and assuming it is ducked either play the spade A and
another spade or the dia A and another dia depending on what you think lho has left.
We are aiming for 5 clubs 2 diamonds and 1h and 1s or 5 clubs 2 dia and 2 spades.

Let me play 4h next time it seems easier:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

yeah we bid it wrong, should have gotten to 4 easily, which happens to make
we play a basic form of precision and the auction went:
1 - 1
2 - 2
2 - 3
3NT

all calls save the first two are natural.
Should have been bid:
1 - 2!
4

2 = 4-6 pts with concentration in the heart suit
Become yourself.
