Hi!

Would it be possible to publish an online BBO Vugraph Schedule calendar in a way that users could easily sync for example their smartphone calendars with it?

BR,
Tuppi

Nice idea. Perhaps just put it up as a public calendar on Google.

I hope that this suggestion includes stopping broadcast messages announcing the start of vugraph activities. There's no reason for all members to be getting five copies of a message stating:
vugraphzbc (Automated): A live vugraph broadcast has just started. The 11th China Bridge Elite Tournament - Round 5/11

You can turn off vugraph notifications in your settings.

The schedule isn't a substitute for these messages. If the operator gets disconnected, this message lets you know when they've restarted. And even if it's just the regular start, the times in the schedule are approximate, these broadcasts let you know when it has actually started.

5 copies are because each table sends a message when it starts up. I admit this is spammy when the event is starting and all the tables open at about the same time. But when individual tables get disconnected and reconnect, it's good for them to send a message.

When all this was designed, it was pretty rare to have more than 2 tables in an event, so you wouldn't get inundated like this. It's a victim of its own success.

Thank you for this. My chat-box has been much quieter lately.

But, last night I got a message from vugraph saying that they were going on break. If I don't want to know when they're playing, I certainly don't want to know when they're going on break.

That means the operator sent a (non-automated) message on broadcast. It's quite rare that they do this. Could have been a misclick, since this doesn't seem like a message they would intentionally send out to all of BBO.
