My way needs east has one of sq and ck,I can make it by double squeezing(east holds diamond, west holds heart, none can hold 3rd club),but I failed, can anyone tell me if there is another better way to make it?

it is easy to make double dummy and play problems are better shown w/o
the opposing hands (wait for a few days). The problem with this hand is
that a correct guess in spades gives you 12 tricks (after you discover the
unfortunate heart break). Doing anything other than trying to find the spade
queen is bound to be inferior in the long run. Using vacant spaces we play
rho for the spade Q and we go down wishing we were in 6h so it was only
down 1.

So establish hearts (if there is a squeeze pending all of those heart might put
east in a bad place). Assess where you are after seeing how east tosses cards
and decide from there (who knows maybe they will toss a lot of small spades).....

I have to love the way that you wrong-sided the contract- surely North should realise South (and equally South after North patterned his hand out) should play No-trumps he has so much in everything but clubs- has made the contract so much more difficult.

Which one should be declarer of no-trump is not so obviously, since club and heart are long suiters of winners and normal no need to be protected, but not the same for spade and diamond suiter.

That's not quite true. Suppose that East has K but not Q, When West wins the spade, he plays back a club to East's king. Now your double squeeze doesn't work. You can still squeeze somebody between J and a red-suit guard, but you have to guess who to squeeze.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I'd have played it the same way as you did, except that I'd have cashed K before running the jack. East is odds-on to have Q; if he does you have twelve tricks by setting up hearts, and if he doesn't you still have chances.

Thank you,I think you gave me all of this hand, and I hope I will play the best route like this next time.
