You lead the king of hearts, for reverse count, and partner plays the nine which is now suit preference and declarer plays the seven. Is there any reason not to switch to the jack of diamonds?

I don't think. I mean the partner's 9 as Lavinthal for ♦(=higher minor).(Lovera)
