- Openers tend to be light in 3rd seat but sound in 2nd seat so you are likely to have the balance of the points.
- Spades probably break badly for opponents when you have a spade singleton or void and nobody has opened.

Rule of 15 is one of the more reliable proverbs, even if not 100% perfect. I don't see any particular reason to believe good things will happen if we get involved.

My partner and I have a rule in our county league which is never to pass a board out.
He once felt obliged to open a 9-count in 4th seat as a consequence. We still ended up positive on the hand.
The only really expensive one was a perfectly good 12-count after which the opponents bid and made 3NT!
p.s. this is not an undertaking to opponents. I can give you some hands we would pass in 4th seat.
I never pass boards out at matchpoints. I always get a bad board when I do.

I really wanna open 3♣ , if we have a ♥ fit they probably have ♠ fit and if we lose the competition it is not end of the world, we have defensive values. But 1♣ is of course the normal bid if we decide to open

"Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say."
