Agree that I would have preferred to Michaels initially. I'm hitting this - it could easily be wrong, but so be it.

This partly boils down to what we think of the 5♥ bidder - does this action not register as being unusual?
If I trust LHO even partly, this is a 5♠ bid. We can make this on a good day, and I think they are making a lot of the time.

I know the 5 level belongs to the opps. I know that LHO may have lost his mind, since RHO didn't invite him to the party and yet he showed up and started dancing, maybe to music only he can hear.
But while I doubt that 5♥ makes, it isn't impossible and meanwhile 5♠ could easily be gin.
I also know that -200 instead of +200 is very expensive 'insurance'. So they got me...won't be the last time (and I usually don't bite on these hands, but at the risk of using one too many aphorisms, 5-5, come alive)
