MP, robot duplicate, best hand South, Traveller 6570-1373749321-69025440

Nothing strange about the bidding as shown above, which was repeated at several tables.

The only reason I bring it up is because some bright spark decided to open the South hand 1C, and it went uncontested 1C-1S-2S-All pass.

Now I am a simple soul, but I rate the North hand to be stronger after 1C-1S-2S than after 1D-1S-2S. Not stronger by a prince's ransom, but CERTAINLY not weaker.

So if GIB rates the hand worth a game try after a 1D opener how does it conclude that it is not worth a game try after a 1C opener?

Based strictly on personal experience, I think GIB has little or no logic for evaluating fit with partner other than simulation situations (and I do not think these are such).
So, I would assume that this is simply a case of bidding rules that vary slightly for the 1C and 1D opening.
You must know the rules well - so that you may break them wisely!

GIB would always invite with North's hand no matter of what 1minor opening is. But the scenario was slightly different for the hand you've saw.

The auction you saw was not 1 opening by South, but North. South passed and it was Pass-Pass-Pass-1. Then 1-1-2 could remain as Opener-North has nothing to invite with.

No need to sorry. :) Any report is welcomed, just not that quick to be replied. We try our best as fast as possible bugfixes to be included in next version of update.

So, as many tickets are opened or reports sent as quickly or easily something would be spotted. But opening tickets in forums allow feedback to provide confirmation.

All web client reports are revised, but there is no feedback so unfortunately people might think these are rather ignored.
