Partner leads 4, dummy discards 6 and declarer plays 6 under your Q.

Which card do you lead back? Do you have a method showing partner you hold a 5-carder?
The book says "play the original 4th best".
But can partner read the 8 as 4th best?
Play Bridge for fun and entertainment and to meet nice people.
BAD bidding may be succesful due to excellent play, but not vice versa.
